API is committed to expanding patient access to affordable with USP

Amman Pharmaceutical Industries (API) is committed to expanding patient access to affordable, high-quality medicines on a global scale. In 2023, we collaborated with USP -an independent, scientific nonprofit organization that develops public quality standards for medicines, dietary supplements, and food ingredients- to donate analytical methods and expertise. API donated scientific methods and specifications, based on which USP created related monograph. The monograph is currently under review and is expected to be published before the end of this year.

This donation followed a meeting with Ronald T. Piervincenzi, USP CEO, during his 2023 visit to Jordan, which was kindly facilitated by Dr. Hanan Sboul, Secretary General of the Jordanian Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (JAPM), which has been instrumental in helping USP achieve its goals in the region. Dr. Sboul commented that “JAPM is proud of API’s contribution to USP’s legacy of quality that continues to thrive.
